Yes, I'm running for re-election!

ree

It's that time of year, again.

Seems like only yesterday the 2021 election campaign wrapped up!

It certainly has been a busy, sometimes 'controversial', term of Council.

Everything from public, firsthand experience of misogyny, to being elected as a member of the Executive of ALGWA (Australian Local Government Women's Association) NSW, to fighting to ensure the inaugural Rainbow Festival went ahead and speaking out to address gender-based violence, I am very proud of what I have achieved thus far.

I'm far from done too, hence my decision to campaign for re-election.

I am also standing for Mayor as I believe Orange deserves strong, empathetic leadership.

Leadership which listens to all voices, but who will call out discriminatory and offensive behaviour as soon as it occurs, no matter who is perpetrating it.

Leadership which will advocate to retain our ties to Orange's rich history, but also looks to the future to ensure our city continues to grow and thrive, and serve every demographic of our wonderful community.

Stay tuned for more announcements including my amazing fellow candidates for the McDonell ticket.

Orange is Wiradjuri Country. I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging of the Wiradjuri Nation and all First Nations peoples.

I acknowledge their deep and profound connection to country, having been custodians of the land we call Australia for more than 60,000 years.

Sovereignty was never ceded.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land.
